About

In spring of 2006, three high school students from a small New Jersey school attended a weeklong class trip to Paris. During that trip, Adam Blank and Orian Breaux, sophomores at the time, and Lauren Felton, a junior, experienced some of the most strange and bizarre situations of their lives. Each day, they returned to their chaperones later and later, always with an even more ridiculous excuse than the last. From getting stuck in a café and conned into ordering food to being chased by broken-legged gypsies down the street, these three brought new meaning to the phrase “non, merci,” which became their “safe words” throughout the trip. Something about the necessity of having these safe words brought Adam, Orian, and Lauren to the conclusion that their personalities meshed in a very interesting way, and that when all three of their minds were put together, something great would inevitably become of it. The result is The Obvert Project, a webcomic that brings their shared sense of humor together with three unique styles and interests.
